Bath Conservation Architects are a highly skilled, small team of architects based in the centre of Bath with over twenty years of specialist experience in the field of historic building work. The practice covers the whole of the South West and beyond, working on Listed structures in their repair, conservation and renewal. Our aim is to always offer a consistently high degree of attention to detail from initial feasibility work through to completion.
Our work is guided by the initial brief and our response to the specific local factors including the nature of the site, its orientation and history. We aim to develop a clear and thorough understanding of our Clients aspirations and expectations through dialogue and discussion to ensure we continue to deliver thoughtful, intelligent and successful projects.
Local factors are always important and a detailed understanding of the site, through historic research and analysis are key factors here. All design decisions are made on an understanding of the buildings context and immediate environment.
Our aim is to combine a highly scholarly approach to restoration and repair whilst introducing elegant modern materials and methods of construction where a clean contrast is the correct design approach to take.
